Company Philosophy
About CoShareX
We build client-side browser utilities that help developers share, format, and test skills instantly without accounts or tracking.
Our Mission
The modern web has become heavily dependent on centralized databases, tracking telemetry, and mandatory login walls. Simple daily tasks like transferring a file, formatting code, or sharing an error log often force developers to upload private data to third-party servers.
At CoShareX, we challenge this approach. We believe that utility tools should execute directly in your browser tab without requiring logins, user profiles, or data collection agreements. Our mission is to make developer tools fast, private, and local-first by default.
Why We Created CoShareX
CoShareX was built out of a necessity for data sovereignty. Developers, systems administrators, and security teams handle sensitive credentials, configurations, and proprietary code snippets daily. Storing this data on cloud servers introduces unnecessary attack surfaces.
To solve this, we designed CoShareX around non-custodial browser runtimes. By utilizing WebRTC for peer-to-peer data transport, the Web Cryptography API for local encryption, and WebAssembly for offline compilation, we ensure your data stays on your machine. No files are stored on our signaling nodes, and your private inputs never leave your system.
Core Philosophy
Local Execution
Zero server logging. Your private data is processed directly in your tab.
Zero Accounts
Skip form inputs. Open the utility URL and use it immediately.
Client-Side APIs
Powered by WebRTC, Web Workers, and WebAssembly standards.
Live Applications
CoShareX is designed as a suite of single-purpose browser tools:
File Share (https://file.cosharex.com)
Direct, browser-to-browser file transfers utilizing WebRTC. Since data streams concurrently between clients, there are no file size caps, no upload latency, and zero server storage.
Paste Share (https://paste.cosharex.com)
Instant text and code sharing with full markdown rendering and syntax highlighting. Pastes are encrypted inside your tab using local 256-bit AES-GCM keys. The decryption key remains in the URL hash fragment (#) and is never transmitted to our servers.
Formatter (https://formatter.cosharex.com)
A complete 23-in-1 workspace containing JSON validation, minification, YAML/XML conversion, SQL formatting, and base64 parsing. The utilities compile and run fully offline inside your browser using background Web Workers.
Online LaTeX Compiler & Resume Builder (https://latex.cosharex.com)
In-browser WebAssembly LaTeX compiler and ATS-optimized resume generator. Compile complex TeX documents and render Harvard-style resumes with zero software installation and zero account requirements.
QR Generator (https://formatter.cosharex.com/qr-code-generator)
Generate, design, and download custom, functional QR codes entirely in your browser. Build triggers for WiFi connections, contacts, and URLs with support for vector SVG export.
Our Vision
CoShareX provides single-purpose browser productivity tools. From encrypted P2P file transfers and offline formatter workspaces to interactive developer skill challenges in Dev Arcade, we empower developers and teams to work without account friction or data tracking.
