1. DMCA Compliance & Commitment

CoShareX respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”), the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website, CoShareX will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the CoShareX website and subdomains if such claims are reported to our Designated Copyright Agent identified below.

Use of our services is also governed by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Non-Custodial P2P Operations Notice

Important Technical Context: CoShareX operates primarily as a non-custodial, peer-to-peer (P2P) signaling and browser utility provider. We do not store, host, or archive user files, pastes, or formatted datasets on our servers. File transfers are executed directly between peer browser clients using encrypted WebRTC DataChannels. Pastes are encrypted client-side where the decryption key remains local in the URL hash fragment (#) and is never transmitted to our network.

Because we do not host or have custody of user-generated content, we cannot delete or disable access to materials residing solely on a user's local machine or transferred directly between browsers. However, we will disable signaling handshakes or terminate access to signaling servers if a transfer is identified as infringing and within our technical capacity to intercept.

3. How to File a Takedown Notice (Notice of Infringement)

If you are a copyright owner, authorized to act on behalf of one, or authorized to act under any exclusive right under copyright, please report alleged copyright infringements taking place on or through the site by completing a Notice of Alleged Infringement and delivering it to our Designated Copyright Agent.

Your notice must include the following information:

• Identify the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or—if multiple copyrighted works are covered by this Notice—you may provide a representative list of the copyrighted works that you claim have been infringed.
• Identify the material that you claim is infringing (or to be the subject of infringing activity) and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material, including at a minimum, if applicable, the URL of the link shown on the site or the signaling parameters.
• Provide your mailing address, telephone number, and, if available, email address.
• Include both of the following statements in the body of the Notice:
  • “I hereby state that I have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (e.g., as a fair use).”
  • “I hereby state that the information in this Notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright or of an exclusive right under the copyright that is allegedly infringed.”
• Provide your full physical or electronic signature.

4. Counter-Notification Process

If you receive a notification that your content or link has been disabled due to a copyright infringement report, and you believe that the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a Counter-Notification to our Designated Copyright Agent.

To be effective, your Counter-Notification must be a written communication sent to our Designated Copyright Agent and include the following:

• Identify the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled (e.g., the specific URL).
• Provide your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• Include a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or California, if your address is outside of the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original infringement notification or an agent of such person.
• Include the following statement: “I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.”
• Provide your physical or electronic signature.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

CoShareX reserves the right to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users, IP addresses, or client access points who are determined to be repeat infringers of this DMCA Policy. We may block signaling capabilities, restrict access to our subdomains, or implement firewall blocks to enforce this policy.
